First Lady Cynthia Winns

Lady Cynthia Winns was raised in a spiritual single parent home in South Carolina.  Even though she was the youngest of four she always had big dreams and visions.  She left South Carolina in 1980 in pursuit of them and joined the U.S. Army July 1984.

In September 2002, the Lord called Lady Winns into the ministry as a minister of the Gospel.  She preached her first message at St James Missionary Baptist Church, Lawton, OK and was later licensed by the pastor of St James Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Samuel Hutchinson Sr. 

​

Lady Winns honorable served 20 years in the US Army which included two deployments to Southwest Asia.  Upon retiring she worked for the Military Personnel Division (MPD) on Fort Sill, Oklahoma and retired after 14 years of Civilian Services.

​

Alongside her husband Overseer Warren Winns, Lady Winns co-founded Spread the Word Ministries Worship Center in October 2006, where she presently serves as the Women Ministry Leader for “Sisters Making a Difference” (SMAD), Esther 4:14.  She also assists in various positions within ministry. She has a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and is currently pursuingher master’s from Andersonville Theological Seminary.

Lady Winns continues to serve her community through local organizations; the Church’s bi-weekly Feeding Ministry, Family Promises, AMBUCS, the Women Veterans of Oklahoma Lawton Chapter and annually during the “I AM STEM” Camp hosted by her church.

Currently she is collaborating with the founder of 100% Changed Program, Lady Desetra Taylor of Bloomington, Illinois and have hosted three, eight weeks program that help women face and deal with issues that have held them captive for years.Which has resulted in 20 women successfully completing the program.

She presently serves as the Daughters of the Promise (DOP) Leader for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (FGBCFI), Women Ministry for the State of Oklahoma.

Lady Winns has been married to Overseer Warren C. Winns for 29 yrs., and is the proud parent of three adult children, Patrice, Brandon and Beonica.
